Hosted by Ms. Jones and Mrs. Adelmann. Second and Third grade students will enjoy learning some of the fundamentals of needle and thread: threading a needle, different types of stitching, sewing on a button and much more.
Hosted by Mr. Zayas and Ms. Pratt. Come put the basics of physics and engineering into action as we build and test simple machines such as catapults and more.
Hosted by Ms. G’Sell and Ms. Jay. Kindergarten and First grade students will hear retellings of classic folk tales and then rehearse them in costume and dramatic form. Includes The Gingerbread Man, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and more.
We are excited to announce the first ever Great Hearts Irving Lower School Cricket Match between our brave teachers and our cricket-loving parents! We are looking for players to join the Parent Team headed by your very own Mr. Bandu, Mr. Mann, and Mr. Singirikonda. Space is limited, so please sign up quickly if you would like to play! The fee to participate is $10. Once you have registered you will be contacted further by the coaches regarding specific details.

Come see and practice the fundamentals of giving a dramatic recitation or a stirring oration, and delivering lines with perfect comedic timing! The club will read and act a play together, practicing theatre basics.
Hosted by Ms. Estrada and Ms. Treece. Students will enjoy learning the basics of plant care and gardening – by doing! This club will observe, plant and sprout seedlings which can be transferred to our outdoor garden beds. Students will observe and care for some of our indoor plants plus enjoy more fun gardening activities
Hosted by Ms. Stevens and Ms. Morgan. Come have some fun after school and enjoy friendly competition as we play games such as dominoes, mancala, Skip-Bo and more! This club is for beginners and experts alike. (Even you game veterans might learn some new games and strategies that you haven't yet tried!)
Hosted by Ms. Defilippis. Fourth and Fifth graders will further their grasp of proper singing technique and learn the basics of singing together as a choir.
Hosted by Ms. Crimmins and Ms. G’Sell. Kindergarten and first grade students will join our very own zookeeper teacher, Ms. G’Sell, along with Ms. Crimmins as we study, collect and observe species of the marvelous plant and animal kingdoms.
